The Durham County Tax Administrator's Office will perform accurate and equitable assessment and collection functions to serve the citizen's of Durham County. Our vision is to have the most technologically advanced, user friendly Tax Administrator's Office in the United States.

Office of Tax Administration

In Durham County, Tax Assessor and Tax Collector are combined into a single office responsible for listing, appraising, and assessing real and personal property, maintenance of all property maps, property ownership changes, collection of all current and delinquent taxes, collection of fees such as solid waste, sewer, street assessments, and privilege licenses fees for Beer and Wine Licenses.
