Be apart of making a difference in Durham!

The Durham Soil & Water Conservation District’s Board of Supervisors is the non-profit arm of the District’s conservation efforts. With its 501c3 status, the Board of Supervisors establishes, funds, and supervises programs above and beyond the District’s normal responsibilities. Programs like environmental education, stream restoration, and community conservation projects are just a few areas where the Board focuses its efforts.

To continue to expand our programs and services, the Board of Supervisors is seeking donations. If you would like to make a donation to a local non-profit that works to conserve Durham’s natural resources and educate the public about conservation then please give us a call at (919) 560-0558 or email us at lmarochak@durhamcountync.gov and we will work with you to make sure your donation goes to the project or area of interest of your choice, i.e. education, land donation, stream restoration, community conservation, Durham Big Sweep, etc…

Each parcel has a land value of $16,000, making the donation worth $48,300. The district is considering planting trees, a conservation easement, and educational events as possible usages.
