The Quartermaster?s Office is responsible for the inventory, requisitioning and bidding of all Deputy and Detention personnel uniforms, equipment, vehicle equipment and all office equipment and supplies. In addition, this unit orders, stores, and bids out all of the supplies for inmates and janitorial needs of the Detention facility.
Another function of the Quartermaster?s office is inventorying and auditing of all Office of the Sheriff assets. Last year approximately 40,000 items were either received in or issued out of this office with about 500 requests for supplies received.
The Quartermaster?s office received the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Community Service Award for Outstanding Asset Management and Monetary Savings of equipment and supplies.
