Renovation will increase exam rooms and reduce wait
times for patients

Lincoln to receive $1,300,700 in federal
dollars
Durham,
N.C. –Lincoln Community Health Center has received a grant from the Health
and Human Service Administration to create 15 new exam rooms for adult medicine
and pediatric providers. Lincoln is one of 27 community
health centers in North Carolina to receive a $20 million investment from the
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, as part of the bill's Capital
Improvement Program and will receive $1,300,770.
On September
14th the Durham Board of County Commissioners approved contracts that
will allow construction to begin at Lincoln. The County will administer the
funds on Lincoln’s behalf. Durham County’s Engineering Department will
serve as project manager for the renovations. Once construction begins, the
renovations will take proximately 18 months to complete.
