Durham, N.C. – This morning,
the Durham County Administrative Complex, located at 200 E. Main Street, closed
due to a water line break at Main and Roxboro Streets. The water line break caused the building
to be without running water or operable restrooms.
Throughout the day, the County worked closely with the City’s Department
of Water Management to restore water to the Administrative Complex. Water to the building was reestablished
at approximately 4p.m. Currently,
the County’s General Services Department is flushing the water system and
restoring Heating, Ventaliting and Air Conditioning service to the
building. All offices housed in the
Administrative Complex will reopen tomorrow morning with normal operating hours.
For more information about today’s closing, contact Don Hasselbach, assistant director for the Durham County
General Services Department, at 919-560-0430 or via e-mail at dwhassel@co.durham.nc.us.
