Durham, N.C. – The
Durham Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) invites community organizations to
receive recognition for their outstanding work by applying for the Commissioners
Community Circle Award.
The award is designed as a way for
the BOCC to recognize community organizations and programs for the outstanding
services they provide to the citizens of Durham.
The Commissioners
Community Circle Award, based upon simple selection criteria, is presented to
organizations that exhibit excellence in the areas of productivity, creativity
and commitment to citizens.
Recipients of the award have proven that the services they provide help
to improve the lives of citizens and the overall enhancement of the Durham
community. Once a month, the BOCC
presents a certificate of recognition to a selected organization during a
Regular Session meeting.
