Durham and Orange Cooperative Extension, in cooperation with
Environmental Health, are sponsoring a ServSafe Course in August. Workshop
participants will learn key principles in preparing, serving, and storing food
safely from expert speakers from the Cooperative Extension, Environmental
Health, Extension Food Science Department at NCSU, the Family and Consumer
Science Department of Cooperative Extension at NCSU, and Extension Entomology at
NCSU.

18-hour Manager's Certification Training Course

The cost of the course is $120 and is approved by the state for a possible two point
credit on your restaurant inspection. This cost covers the ServSafe Course
book, a thermometer, two lunches, and certification issued by the National
Restaurant Association. Preregistration is required and will close on July
27 for Early Registration. The Late Registration fee is $140 and ends
August 7.
The
course will be taught in English, but the certification exam will be available
in English, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
The certification exam will be given for program
participants on Monday, August 17 at 9:00
a.m.
