The Public Information/Governmental Affairs Office serves as the communications link between County government, other governmental entities and the public. Additional responsibilities include: developing the legislative package, monitoring the General Assembly, maintaining a positive relationship with local legislators, working with the local news media, preparing and distributing brochures, booklets and newsletters, coordinating videotaping of County Commissioner meetings, hosting a weekly TV show, answering citizens' complaints and promoting an effective public relations policy among County government employees.
