To make choices possible, you will be given a dollar allowance to help pay for the benefits you select.
| Health Insurance |
- Employees may choose a health care plan administered by a healthcare provider.
- Coverage commences from the first day of the month following hire date. Enrollment required to participate.

| Dental Insurance |
- Durham County's dental service program is administered by a third party provider. It covers 100% Preventive and Maintenance, 80% Oral Surgery, 50% Replacement and Periodontic Services. There is a $50 annual deductible for non-preventive care.
- Coverage commences from the first day of the month following hire date. Enrollment required to participate.

- Short-term and long-term disability programs are administered by a selected provider.
- Coverage commences from the first day of the month following hire date. Enrollment required to participate.

- Employees may purchase additional life and AD&D at one, two or three times the annual salary.
- Employees may purchase life insurance for their eligible dependents.
- Coverage commences from the first day of the month following hire date. Enrollment required to participate.
