Recycling Drop-Off Centers

Durham County offers the convenience of drop-off center recycling for both residents of Durham County and the City of Durham at the following solid waste convenience centers:

The following materials are acceptable for recycling as part of Durham County’s curbside recycling collection program and at its County operated Recycling Drop-Off Centers:

  • Cardboard
  • Mixed Papers (office paper, junk mail, wrapping paper, telephone books)
  • Newspapers
  • Magazines
  • Chipboard or cereal boxes/ frozen food boxes (no food or grease contamination)
  • Glass Bottles and Jars – all colors
  • Plastic Bottles Only – no plastic tubs (no yogurt or butter tubs)
  • Aluminum and Steel Cans
