The following materials are acceptable for recycling as part of Durham County’s curbside recycling collection program and at its County operated Recycling Drop-Off Centers:
- Cardboard
- Mixed Papers (office paper, junk mail, wrapping paper, telephone books)
- Newspapers
- Magazines
- Chipboard or cereal boxes/ frozen food boxes (no food or grease contamination)
- Glass Bottles and Jars – all colors
- Plastic Bottles Only – no plastic tubs (no yogurt or butter tubs)
- Aluminum and Steel Cans
