Durham County Government implemented a Transportation Demand Management plan as required by the Commute Trip Reduction Ordinance adopted by our Board of County Commissioners in 2000. Our program, RAVE, assists and promotes alternative commuting options for Durham County employees in getting to and from work.

SmartCommute Challenge Challenge
The SmartCommute Challenge is an annual public service campaign that addresses air quality and traffic congestion by asking employees to pledge that they will try a commute alternative. Employees that sign up receive free gifts and discounts at local merchants and are registered to win other prizes. | | |
