Results Based Accountability

Imagine a Durham where everyone enjoys a prosperous economy:

A prosperous economy will include sustained economic development in Durham and a healthy, growing, and balanced tax base. It will mean gainful employment for our citizens (self-sustaining, livable wage) and a greater percentage of Durham citizens holding Durham jobs. A prosperous economy will also see increased commercial/industrial and residential transfers to Durham and lower poverty rates.

Imagine Durham is our Results Based Accountability (RBA) initiative; a community-wide effort to improve the quality of life in the city and county of Durham. Citizens develop and implement strategies that allow us to measure our progress in the nine outcome areas listed on our home page. Any citizen wishing to become involved in this continuing process can contact Bill Stout, coordinator for the Results Based Accountability Initiative, at wstout@durhamcountync.gov or 919-560-0032.
