Animal Control's regular work hours are from 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. If you have an emergency such as an animal bite or an injured animal after hours, on the weekend or on a holiday, contact 911 who will contact Animal Control for you. You can use the non-emergency line at (919) 560-4606 to request assistance from Animal Control.

If you want to make a complaint you should contact the office during regular hours of operation. Provide the dispatcher with your name, address and telephone number (calls regarding Animal Cruelty and At Large complaints can be accepted anonymously, however complaints regarding Animal Nuisance will not be accepted anonymously). Provide the dispatcher with the nature of the call (type of violation you are reporting) and all pertinent information pertaining to the complaint. Be sure to give the dispatcher the street address of the violation and if known, the name of the owner and an accurate description of the animal.
